The Doors, in arrivo la deluxe edition dell'album di debutto

Los Angeles - Nel 1967 The Doors pubblicano l’eponimo album di debutto che riscuote un successo enorme e consacra a star John Densmore, Robby Krieger, Ray Manzarek e Jim Morrison. "The Doors" è considerato uno dei migliori album rock di tutti i tempi.

Per celebrare il 50esimo anniversario dalla prima pubblicazione, il 31 marzo 2017 uscirà la deluxe edition titolata “The Doors: 50th Anniversary”. Un boxset in formato 3 cd/1 lp, che include le versioni mono e stereo totalmente rimasterizzate dell’album originale, oltre che una registrazione del concerto al Matrix di San Francisco (marzo 1967) e la versione in vinile dell’album rimasterizzata in mono. Il tutto, corredato da scatti fotografici rari o inediti della celebre band californiana.

L’uscita del boxset è stata annunciata durante il “Day of The Doors” – evento tenutosi il 4 gennaio scorso a Los Angeles, luogo in cui tutto era cominciato. Presenti alla cerimonia, Robby Krieger (chitarra), John Densmore (batteria) e i famigliari di Ray Manzarek e Jim Morrison . La cerimonia è stata trasmessa in diretta streaming sulla pagina Facebook della band.
