Billy Corgan, frontman degli Smashing Pumpkins, torna con “Ogilala”

Vincitore di due Grammy Awards, acclamato singer-songwriter, nonché frontman degli Smashing Pumpkins, William Patrick Corgan torna sulle scene con “Ogilala”, il suo secondo album da solista in uscita il 13 ottobre 2017 su etichetta BMG/Believe.

Prodotto da Rick Rubin e registrato ai Shangri La Studios di Malibu, “Ogilala” segue “The Future Embrace” (il primo album Corgan uscito ben 12 anni fa).
“Non sono mai riuscito a capire la linea di confine tra scrivere brani per me e per qualsiasi band. Quel che so è che le percepisco tutte nel profondo. Oggi, dopo aver composto le tracce di chitarra e voce, mi sono messo nelle mani di Rick Rubin affinché portare la musica dove voleva lui, pur mantenendo una struttura delle song molto semplice e molecolare, senza bisogno di sfarzosi ricami…” – William Patrick Corgan

William Patrick Corgan is a singer, songwriter, producer, and frontman of celebrated alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins. Formed in Chicago, IL in 1988, the band released their heralded debut album Gish in 1991 and found mainstream success with 1993’s 4x multi-platinumSiamese Dream and 1995’s 10x multi-platinum Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness.
Following the band’s 2000 dissolution, Corgan helmed the alternative rock band Zwan before releasing his debut solo album TheFutureEmbrace and reforming The Smashing Pumpkins in 2005. With over 30 million albums sold, the Grammy®, MTV VMA e American Music Award winning, band remains an influential force in alternative rock.
